Haze and saltwater spray create a golden early-morning light over this remote and deserted beach in Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica. The scene recalls both the tranquil solitude and the unceasing power of the water rushing back out to sea. The photograph draws me back to Costa Rica to explore the details in each gorgeous pebble and to remember the sound and the vibration of the well-polished stones rolling up and down the surf.
