Crevasses on the Muir Glacier in Glacier Bay National Park, Alaska. John Muir built a cabin at the terminus of this glacier in the 1880’s when the glacier was nearly 30 miles longer than it is today. The glacier’s retreat has in no way diminished its wildness or beauty.

Photographed during my Artist in Residency at Glacier Bay National Park. For funding my stay, I am grateful to the National Park Service, Alaska Geographic, and the Voices of the Wilderness program.
